We live in a time when the word cancer is no longer synonymous with death, as long as the disease is detected in time, and the person takes the appropriate treatments. That is why it is convenient to reflect on this disease, talk about its prevention, timely detection, and effective treatments.
The Colon and rectum (CCR) is the most common cancer worldwide, is an abnormal growth of malignant cells in the tissues of the colon, rectum, and appendix. It can develop from fungal growths (polyps), which form on the colon or rectum walls.
This disease can affect any person. However, there are risk factors that should be taken into account, such as being overweight or obese, physical inactivity, a diet rich in red meat, smoking, alcohol abuse, eating disorders, age (being over 40 years old), polyps, colitis, history relatives with polyps or cancer, ethnic factors and type 2 diabetes.
That is why we want to remember some celebrities who had the disease, some survivors, and others who lost the battle.
