She has taken more than 1,000 driving lessons and in 30 years, she has not been able to pass the exam

For some, driving a car can be a very simple task, they even seem to have a natural talent to do it, but this can be a major challenge for others. This does not mean that some are better than others, simply that we are different and some are good for one thing and the rest for another.

For 30 years, Isabelle Stedman, from Ampthill, Bedfordshire, UK, has taken driving lessons and tried to pass the exam to get her license, but the result is always the same: Failed. At 17, she took her first lesson, and at 47, she continued to attend classes without a positive result.

Over three decades, Isabelle estimates that she has spent about $ 14,000 on her lessons, but the reality is that she has never even come close to passing the exam. She says she feels "overwhelmed" when driving, especially when she must drive through a roundabout, as fear turns to terror and then she can no longer drive.

I've been learning for 30 years, but still, every time I get in a car, it feels like I've never been in one before, and it's terrifying.

-Isabella

I don't get it, but it's like I'm so anxious and overwhelmed that my brain shuts down, and I lose consciousness for a few seconds, and gazebos are the worst. When I wake up, we are on the side of the road because the instructor had to grab the wheel and I am so overwhelmed that I end up in a torrent of tears and have to go home.

Isabella works in a supermarket, is the mother of two children, aged 22 and 17, and ensures that they will pass the driving test before her. Unfortunately, she still does not break that blockade that does not allow her to drive, which does not allow her to visit the relatives who do not live so close to her home more often. Also, her daughter is about to enter college, and she would like to take her to her classes.

A friend stops by when she has to take her kids somewhere or has something to do, making her constantly embarrassed.

I don't hate driving, I want to do it, but I feel like it's impossible for me. Plus, I don't even drink, so I'd be the perfect designated driver. It's a waste!

Isabella says that at least in that aspect, it has been 30 years of nightmare, but she is confident that at some point, she will be able to overcome that fear and keep driving until she passes the exam. We are sure that you will be able to do it when you really put your mind to it. How long did it take you?
